To protect biodiversity, we deliberately "forgot" to mow a patch of lawn. Result: a burst of life nd colors! Pollinators and insect of all kinds are busy all day long, among the flowers. A wonder!
In the Luberon, nights are so peaceful that you would think they were silent. But is this really the case? Listen up and enjoy 2' of serenading in the park. A moment of pure relaxation...
Located in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon, Le Mas de La Baou has many advantages for nature lovers:
Exceptional views
Mas de La Baou is apart from the small town of Cereste (only 400 m). Just enough to have the most beautiful view of this old hilltop village, typical of Provence.

A large park
The property covers 3.5 ha. Part of the land is converted into a shaded garden, bordered by the creek Encrême, spanned by the charming "Roman bridge".
A lavender field
The village of Céreste is a few minutes walking, by a footpath that crosses our field of lavender. (temporarily replaced in 2019 by a sainfoin plantation). Also an opportunity to rediscover colors and scents of flowers of the meadow! (see pictures)
A preserved natural environment
Anxious to preserve the natural environment, we have chosen an ecological pool (water filtered through a system of regeneration by plants), secluded near the old well. (photos)
Peacefulness
The environment is very quiet, you'll only hear birdsongs and cicadas, under the burning sun of Provence.
An interesting flora and fauna
The creek is classified "Natura 2000" and houses endemic fauna and flora, including a family of beavers . Many hiking trails starting from the farmhouse will show you the beautiful landscapes of Luberon.
