Thank you to our hosts for a wonderful stay in their beautiful & comfortable gîte - so well conceived and created!
We enjoyed the following in particular:
- local walk to Monjustin
- cedar forest near Bonnieux
- Manosque old town
- Forcalquier
- Simiane la Rotonde
- Jardin biologique near Mane & cloître
- Reillanne & market
- Rustrel
These were the highlights in this beautiful part of the world, as were the extraordinary storms & the flora & fauna.

Wir sind zum 3 Mal in das La Baou zurückgeht. Das Haus, unser Appartement und die wunderschöne Umgebung sind uns inzwischen vertraut, und wir fülhen uns wieder sehr in unserem "Zuhause in der Provence".

Thank you Françoise & Alain for a great stay, it was really relaxing after our wedding - so great to see all the lavender, swim in the natural pool, drive around the local villages, and eat Scaramouche ice cream.

This has been a wonderful week. We have been so delighted by these beautiful surroundings, so kind and thoughtful of the natural world, and so full of flowers, plants, bird and of course, frog song.
We enjoyed a lovely little restaurant at Viens, "Le Petit Jardin". Saignon and Roussillon and the Monday market at Forcalquier were great visits. Also the Salagon Museum and lovely gardens and our only longish trip to Mont Ventoux.

We have spent a wonderfully relaxing week at Mas de la Baou; exploring the local area, eating fabulous Provençal food, swimming with the frogs (our 18 m/o's new favourite word!), before watching the sunset over the lavender fields with a verre de vin!

We have had a wonderful stay here at l'Etable. The accommodation, facilities and environment have more than exceeded all our expectations. Alain and Francoise have been so friendly and welcoming. Their local knowledge has been very helpful in discovering special places in the area. Despite the heat we have enjoyed many walks, and then being able to cool off in the pool when we return. We can recommend the local walks from Cereste (La Gardette, Monjustin, Carluc), Viens, Gorges d'Oppedette and Buoux. Also night-time star-gazing at the Observatory not to be missed.

Stay at La Fenière and La Bastide on July 15
Our group of nine had a most wonderful week in this beautiful setting, the accommodation was excellent, spacious and all renovated in the most authentic style with great taste. Francoise and Alain managed to be available, very welcoming and discreet at the same time. We loved the beautiful pool, the views over the lovely grounds, the space and light as well as being able to walk across the lavender field into the village (especially for ice-cream) - in short, we loved it!! -

The colors of Luberon are magnificent and we have loved exploring the historic and winding streets of the hilltop towns and villages nearby. What a beautiful place did we find. The view on the village, the somewhat different pool,the garden and the marvelously renovated farmhouse. A place to cherish and enjoy. As a special tip I would like to pass along a restaurant: Le Sanglier Paresseux. At 20 minutes driving into the mountains, a superb place for dining, the view and the lovely town. (Caseneuve, 0490751770) I also recommend everyone to respect the top ten the owner has provided. Less touristic than the other "normal " sites, but just as special.
We will most probably be back. -

Two fantastic weeks walking all the hidden byways of the Luberon and not even making a dent in the long list of suggestions our attentive hosts provided.
La Baou, a peaceful and comfortable refuge to rest our weary legs and gaze on a changing skyline over a good glass of wine! Not forgetting the opportunity to compete with the frogs in the pool and follow progress with the garden landscaping. A most memorable and enjoyable vacation despite the rusty French...

The gite was absolutely lovely and the welcome excellent - We hope to bring our baby back when she is a little older and can enjoy as much as we did.

What a lovely holiday - thank you. The house, the setting, pool, and the welcome we received were all perfect. The only disappointment was that we only came for a week and didn't have a chance to explore as much as we would have liked. We spent 3 nights at this lovely gite from 29 Sept to 2 Oct 2010. We found Le Fenil to be spacious, bright, clean -- blessed also with lovely views and a warm sunny entrance where we enjoyed passing the time. Francoise & Alain were welcoming, accommodating hosts. A pleasant walk of less than 5 minutes across fields delivered us to a bakery, shops and restaurants in the quiet village of Cereste -- free for the most part of tourists. Though 20-30 minutes east of many popular villages, they are easily reached via the main road (D900) -- and there are lovely, less discovered locations nearby to enjoy!
